The University Wildcats will be playing at home against the Venice Gondoliers at 6:00 p.m. University is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.8 points per game this season.

University took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 48-38 victory over Animo Venice. The score was all tied up 19-19 at the break, but the Wildcats were the better team in the second half.

Among those leading the charge was Syrus Azarbarzin, who went 5 of 9 en route to 13 points and six steals. Another player making a difference was Jonah Hansen, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 12 points.

Meanwhile, Venice entered their tilt with George Washington Prep on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Generals, sneaking past 70-67. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Gondoliers have posted since November 23, 2024.

University pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Venice, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-10.
