Softball Recap: Cotter Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Cotter lost against Izard County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cotter Warriors fell 6-3 to the Izard County Cougars. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly three runs.

Cotter saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracyn Jackson, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Cotter's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 21 runs. As for Izard County, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Cotter will host Life Way Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Life Way Christian has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.25 runs per game on average), something Cotter will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Izard County, they will venture away from home to take on Cedar Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
