Softball Recap: Nicholas County Takes a Loss

After flying high against West Carter on Thursday, Nicholas County came back down to earth. The Bluejackets fell just short of the Garrard County Golden Lions by a score of 9-8 on Saturday. The Bluejackets were not able to make up for their loss to the Golden Lions from their previous meeting back in May of 2022.

With the defeat, Nicholas County broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-19-1. As for Garrard County, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-24.

Coincidentally, Nicholas County and Garrard County will both be playing Bourbon County the next time they take the field. The Golden Lions will head out to face the Colonels at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Bluejackets will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
