It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Dixie had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Cottonwood Colts 8-1. Considering Dixie has won 18 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dixie got a great performance from Jake Andreas as he didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Ridge Erickson was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Isaac Zepf was another key contributor, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

On Cottonwood's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oliver Wayman, who went 1-for-3 with a stolen base.

The win was the third in a row for Dixie, bringing their record for this year to 24-3. As for Cottonwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-12.

Dixie will square off against Ridgeline at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Dixie is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. Cottonwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
