Basketball Recap: Hoopeston Takes a Loss

After soaring to 65 points the game before, Hoopeston was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a blow against the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers, falling 58-26. The game marked the Cornjerkers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Hoopeston had strong showings from Trenton Montez, who posted ten points and five boards, and Zach Huchel, who earned three points. Thanks to that strong game, Montez now owns an excellent 45.1% shooting accuracy.

Hoopeston's loss dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Paxton-Buckley-Loda, they pushed their record up to 13-14 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.
