Basketball Recap: Menendez's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

Menendez won the last time they faced Interlachen and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Menendez Falcons came out on top against the Interlachen Rams by a score of 54-45. The score was all tied up 20-20 at the break, but the Falcons were the better team in the second half.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaleb McKinnon, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Kemontae Nixon, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.

Menendez's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-6. As for Interlachen, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Menendez won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Westside at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Interlachen, they and Florida School for the Deaf & Blind will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Interlachen is facing Florida School for the Deaf & Blind at the right time seeing as Florida School for the Deaf & Blind is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
