Soccer Game Preview: Wayne County vs. Richland

The Wayne County Wildcats will head out to square off against the Richland Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Wayne County's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Friday, Wayne County didn't have quite enough to beat Loretto and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Richland kept a clean sheet against East Hickman County on Friday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 4-0 victory. Richland might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by four goals or more this season.

Richland's win bumped their record up to 3-4-3. As for Wayne County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Wayne County suffered a grim 10-1 defeat to Richland when the teams last played back in March. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wildcats were down 6-0.
