Susquenita is on a seven-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Big Spring is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Blackhawks will welcome the Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Susquenita is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.

Susquenita proved they can win big last Monday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Upper Dauphin Area 7-6. The win continues a trend for the Blackhawks in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won four in a row.

Susquenita saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Fry, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Billy Syster also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Big Spring suffered their biggest defeat since April 25, 2024 on Wednesday. They came up short against Greencastle-Antrim, falling 21-3.

Big Spring's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Susquenita, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Susquenita came out on top in a nail-biter against Big Spring in their previous meeting back in March of 2018, sneaking past 3-1. Do the Blackhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
