Football Game Preview: Ray Bearcats vs. Superior Panthers + How To Watch

Ray is 2-7 against Superior since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bearcats will host the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Ray is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Duncan, who was ranked 19th at the time (Ray was ranked ninth). The Bearcats were the clear victors by a 40-14 margin over the Wildkats on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Bearcats, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Superior, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against San Manuel on Friday as they made off with a 40-18 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their six-point performance the contest before.

Ray better keep an eye on Antonio Lopez. He was instrumental in Superior's win, throwing for 329 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.5% of his passes, and also punching in one rushing score. The dominant performance also gave Lopez a new career-high in passer rating (160.3). Andrew Blair helped Lopez out on the ground, rushing for 101 yards and one TD on only 14 carries.

Ray's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Superior, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
