Basketball Recap: Johnstown-Monroe Comes Up Short

If Johnstown-Monroe was riding high fresh off their 60-35 takedown of Utica last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies were just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 46-45 to the Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs. The Johnnies were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in March.

Johnstown-Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Bloom-Carroll, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.

Johnstown-Monroe and Bexley will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bloom-Carroll, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Bishop Watterson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
