Basketball Recap: Crosspoint Christian Sets Scoring Season-High Against Gilchrist

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crosspoint Christian). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Gilchrist Grizzlies 80-31. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Crosspoint Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Gilchrist, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crosspoint Christian has already played their next game (against Tulelake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Gilchrist will challenge Rogue Valley Adventist at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rogue Valley Adventist knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Gilchrist likes a good challenge.
