Recap: Avonworth Antelopes vs. Beaver Bobcats
The Avonworth Antelopes put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 41-21 margin over Beaver. Considering Avonworth has won eight matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Leading Avonworth to victory were Dimitri Velisaris and Andrew Kuban. Velisaris rushed for 202 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, while Kuban gained 213 total yards and three touchdowns. Kuban was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 66 yards.
Avonworth's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. As for Beaver, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
Avonworth will square off against Elizabeth Forward at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Elizabeth Forward will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Avonworth is ranked 33rd). Beaver does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
