Football Recap: Sachem North Falls Short of Ward Melville in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sachem North can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Ward Melville Patriots and fell 42-7. The contest marked Sachem North's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ward Melville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joey Benedetto, who rushed for 79 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. Hudson Philbrick was another key passer, throwing for 294 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 88.2% of his passes.
