Volleyball Recap: Midtown Knights vs. Pace Academy Knights
After flying high against Forest Park last Tuesday, Midtown came back down to earth. The Midtown Knights took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pace Academy Knights on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Midtown of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
Midtown was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Pace Academy work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 23-25, 25-13, 25-21.
Despite the loss, Midtown still got an impressive performance from Lucia Olivera, who had ten digs.
With the loss, Midtown broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 28-9. As for Pace Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 38-6 record this season.
As of now, neither Midtown nor Pace Academy have any future games scheduled.
