Riverview hasn't had much luck against Bloomingdale recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Riverview will head out to square off against Bloomingdale at 7:00 p.m. Riverview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
Riverview had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Brandon on Wednesday. Riverview's pitcher stepped up to hand Brandon a 10-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Sharks in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.
Parker Amato tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kaden Hess was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. He has become a key player for Riverview: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 6-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Edwards, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Riverview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Strawberry Crest typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Bloomingdale proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Bulls sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Bloomingdale also got a great performance from Javier Navas-Hoyer as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over 6.2 innings pitched. That's the fewest hits Navas-Hoyer has allowed since back in February.
On the hitting side, Bloomingdale saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alvin Cruz, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Bloomingdale's record is now 13-3. As for Riverview, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Riverview suffered a grim 10-2 defeat to Bloomingdale when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Riverview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
