Baseball Recap: William Allen Takes a Loss

William Allen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Brandywine Heights Area Bullets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Canaries have suffered since April 9, 2024.

William Allen got a good showing from Josh Reyes, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits.

At the plate, Emill Roman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Joel Chacon, who scored two runs and stole three bases.

William Allen's record now sits at 0-3. As for Brandywine Heights Area, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, William Allen will take on Pleasant Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Brandywine Heights Area, they will host Lancaster County Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
