Rolling Meadows put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Vernon Hills Cougars. While the Mustangs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Rolling Meadows got a great performance from Tyler Stankiewicz as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over 4.2 innings pitched. What's more, Stankiewicz posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Luke Schneider was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Rolling Meadows' win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Vernon Hills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Rolling Meadows has already played their next game, a 4-4 tie against Niles West on the 4th. As for Vernon Hills, they will welcome Deerfield at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
