Kennedy is 7-1 against Van Nuys since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Kennedy can't be too worried about heading out to take on Van Nuys: they just beat Panorama at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. The Cougars came out on top against the Pythons by a score of 3-1 last Wednesday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Pythons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 18-25, 29-27, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Van Nuys had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five last Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Tigers.

Van Nuys had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-22, 26-24, 25-11.

Kennedy's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-10. As for Van Nuys, their win bumped their record up to 16-5.

Kennedy skirted past Van Nuys 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
