Softball Recap: Ashland Takes a Loss

Ashland came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Southern Aroostook Warriors, falling 17-4. The contest marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Ashland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Southern Aroostook, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Ashland has already played their next game (against Wisdom), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Southern Aroostook, they will venture away from home to square off against Central Aroostook at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
