Softball Recap: Hackberry's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Hackberry unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornbeck Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 21-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Harmony Bodie was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Kynlin Moore was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Hackberry's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Hornbeck, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-9.

While Hackberry had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
