Volleyball Recap: New Fairfield's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

New Fairfield can bid farewell to their five-match losing streak thanks to their match on Monday. They put the hurt on the Lakeview Bobcats with a sharp 3-0 win. The Rebels not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 17th (when they won 3-0).

New Fairfield never let Lakeview on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-18, 26-24.

New Fairfield was led to victory by Alysia Reape and Frankie Martini. Reape had five aces, while Martini had seven digs and one assist. Those five aces gave Reape a new career-high.

New Fairfield's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Lakeview, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

New Fairfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Masuk on the 7th. Lakeview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
