Softball Game Preview: Springbrook Blue Devils vs. Watkins Mill Wolverines

The Springbrook Blue Devils will face off against the Watkins Mill Wolverines at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Springbrook turned things around against Gaithersburg on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 24-9 margin over the Trojans. The Blue Devils not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 24th (when they won 30-12).

Meanwhile, Watkins Mill lost 21-10 to Northwood on Wednesday. Even if the Wolverines couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Watkins Mill's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Springbrook, their victory bumped their record up to 2-9.

Springbrook got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March against Watkins Mill by a conclusive 30-12 score. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
