Soccer Game Preview: Seneca Valley vs. Northwest

Seneca Valley is 0-7 against Northwest since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Screamin' Eagles will square off against the Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Seneca Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past South Hagerstown 9-1. That eight goal margin sets a new team best for Seneca Valley this season.

They hit South Hagerstown with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Freja Gold (5), Eila Olsen (2), Cesia Centeno-Gomez, and Atara Nsolo.

Meanwhile, Northwest kept a clean sheet against Gaithersburg last Wednesday. They beat the Trojans by a goal, winning 1-0. The win continues a trend for Northwest in their matchups with Gaithersburg: they've now won four in a row.

The victory got Northwest back to even at 6-6. As for Seneca Valley, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
