Volleyball Recap: Glendale Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Webb City, Glendale was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Neosho Wildcats 3-0. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Glendale never let Neosho on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-22, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Ava Underwood, who had seven aces and three digs. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high. Kenzie St. Clair also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Glendale was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matches.

Glendale pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Neosho, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glendale will venture away from home to face off against Republic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Neosho, they will head out to square off against Kickapoo at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
