Volleyball Game Preview: Regis Jesuit Raiders vs. Legend Titans

The Regis Jesuit Raiders will face off against the Legend Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Regis Jesuit is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Mountain Vista, who was ranked fifth at the time (Regis Jesuit was ranked 19th). Regis Jesuit came up short against Mountain Vista on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Raiders have suffered since May 4, 2024.

While Regis Jesuit was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Legend lost 3-0 to Grandview on Wednesday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Titans were not able to get on the board.

Legend was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-23, 25-18.

Legend's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Regis Jesuit, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Regis Jesuit came out on top in a nail-biter against Legend when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will Regis Jesuit repeat their success, or does Legend has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
