Soccer Recap: Jonesboro Comes Up Short

Jonesboro lost against Mount St. Mary Academy back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hurricane lost 5-0 to the Belles. While losing is never fun, Jonesboro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Mount St. Mary Academy are ranked first).

Jonesboro has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6-2 record this season. As for Mount St. Mary Academy, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 14-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Jonesboro will face off against rival Pulaski Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mount St. Mary Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Conway at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
