Granada pushed their score to four the last time they played Alameda, but on Saturday they couldn't quite do it again. Granada fell just short of Alameda by a score of 1-0. The Matadors' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Granada got a good showing from Mason Ravera, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits Ravera has allowed since back in May of 2024.

Granada's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Alameda, their record is now 5-3.

Granada and Alameda should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Granada will challenge Monte Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday up 468 places (130 vs. 598). Meanwhile, Alameda (ranked 155th) will meet Berkeley (ranked 506th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
