Softball Recap: Mcfarland's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

McFarland had lost five games straight , but after bumping their record up to 2-6 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Reedsburg Beavers 3-1. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 7-2 win the Beavers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

As for Reedsburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. The game marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

For Reedsburg's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylee Molitor, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Coming up, McFarland will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Sauk Prairie at 5:00 p.m. The Spartans are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Reedsburg, they will head out to square off against Stoughton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
