St. Laurence and De La Salle are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The St. Laurence Vikings will face off against the De La Salle Meteors at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Laurence will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

St. Laurence is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Lincoln-Way Central: they outscored them in every quarter. St. Laurence came out on top against Lincoln-Way Central by a score of 45-34 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, De La Salle ended up a good deal behind Perspectives Leadership/Technology on Thursday and lost 46-31. While losing is never fun, the Meteors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while the Warriors are ranked 97th).

De La Salle's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-19. As for St. Laurence, their victory bumped their record up to 13-18.

St. Laurence took their win against De La Salle in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 54-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Laurence since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
