The Pickens Blue Flame will face off against the Greer Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pickens is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

Greer will be up against a hot Pickens team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Blue Flame never let Berea get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday.

Sophie Duzan made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Duzan was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Ava Belle Lawton was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Bolding, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Greer didn't have quite enough to beat Travelers Rest on Tuesday and fell 5-4.

Madison Zayas made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Adison Howard was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.

Greer has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10-2 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.83 runs. As for Pickens, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Pickens beat Greer 6-2 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Blue Flame repeat their success, or do the Yellow Jackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
