Arcola is 9-1 against Unity Christian since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Arcola Purple Riders will be playing at home against the Unity Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m. Arcola will be strutting in after a win while Unity Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Thursday, Arcola got the win against Cerro Gordo/Bement by a conclusive 53-32. The Purple Riders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Unity Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a 83-28 loss at the hands of Clinton. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-9.

Arcola is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. As for Unity Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-16.

Everything came up roses for Arcola against Unity Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 44-6 victory. Will Arcola repeat their success, or does Unity Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
