 Lincoln Northwest had to endure  a  four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  squad sidled past the Blair Bears  4-2. The  victory was just what Lincoln Northwest needed coming off of  an  11-0 defeat in their prior  contest.
  Alex Berry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on six hits.
 At the plate,  Erich Grieser was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 On Blair's side,  Tanner Jacobson was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   four  hits. Jacobson was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Jacobson wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  J?Shawn Unger, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Lincoln Northwest's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Blair,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 5-7.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln Northwest will take on Seward at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Seward will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  victory, something Lincoln Northwest surely won't give up without a fight. As for Blair, they will be playing at home against Bennington at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Blair is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.7  runs per game this season.
