Volleyball Game Preview: Sage Ridge Scorpions vs. Mineral County Serpents + How To Watch

The Sage Ridge Scorpions will head out on the road to face off against the Mineral County Serpents at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mineral County took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Sage Ridge, who comes in off a win.

Sage Ridge took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Virginia City, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Scorpions had just enough and edged out the Muckers 3-2.

Sage Ridge wouldn't go down easily and took Virginia City into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-19, 25-21, 18-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Mineral County came up short against Pyramid Lake on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Serpents in their meetings with the Lakers: they've now lost eight in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-6.

Mineral County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Sage Ridge, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Sage Ridge was able to grind out a solid win over Mineral County in their previous meeting back in September, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Scorpions since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
