Softball Recap: Sierra Pacific's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Sierra Pacific had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They skirted past the Exeter Monarchs 5-3. That's two games straight that the Golden Bears have won by exactly two runs.

Haidyn Cota spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on two hits.

On the hitting side, Brooklyn Webb was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Miranda Reyes was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Sierra Pacific's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Exeter, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-4 record.

Looking ahead, Sierra Pacific will face off against Sanger West at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Exeter, they will square off against Immanuel at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
