Volleyball Recap: Watkins Memorial Victorious + How To Watch

Watkins Memorial lost to New Albany back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Warriors came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as three sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 25-13, 24-26, 28-26, 27-25.

Morgan Cumbo paced Watkins Memorial's offense, picking up 16 kills. Cumbo got some help from Ellah Bigham and her 41 assists. Bigham was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

New Albany lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Aline Bhat, who had 22 digs and ten assists. She has been hot, having posted 15 or more digs the last seven times she's played. Jillian Welsh was another key player, getting ten digs and three aces.
