Soccer Game Preview: Henderson vs. Mineola

The Henderson Lions will take on the Mineola Yellowjackets on Monday. Henderson is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

Henderson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Crockett get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. The result was nothing new for Henderson, who have now won seven contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Mineola narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Pittsburg 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for Mineola.

They hit Pittsburg with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Gorge Zavala, Jonathan Ledesma, and Brayan Torres.

Mineola's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Henderson, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.

Henderson was able to grind out a solid win over Mineola in their previous matchup back in March of 2018, winning 2-0. Will Henderson repeat their success, or does Mineola has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
