Basketball Game Preview: Lower Cape May Tigers vs. Manchester Township Hawks

The Lower Cape May Tigers will challenge the Manchester Township Hawks at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Lower Cape May came up short against Vineland on Wednesday, falling 48-28. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Manchester Township). They strolled past Donovan Catholic with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 64-50. The victory was familiar territory for the Hawks who have now won three contests in a row.

Manchester Township is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Lower Cape May, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Lower Cape May suffered a grim 62-38 defeat to Manchester Township when the teams last played back in February of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lower Cape May was down 42-13.
