Baseball Recap: Jackson Prep Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Jackson Prep had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 18-12-1 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They never let the Jackson Academy Raiders get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

Jackson Prep let Major Quin and Will McMaster run wild. Quin went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double, while McMaster went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI McMaster has posted since back in February. Carson Powell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Jackson Prep lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

As for Jackson Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-11. The game marked the first time this year in which they were not able to get on the board.

On Jackson Academy's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Dockins, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Jackson Prep will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
