Baseball Recap: Kimball Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Kimball's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Antioch Panthers by a score of 4-1. This was payback for the Jaguars, who suffered a 7-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Dawson Pelech spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on James Isler, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Aj Rodriguez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Kimball's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-5. As for Antioch, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kimball will welcome Chavez at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kimball is facing Chavez at the right time seeing as Chavez is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Antioch, they will face off against Napa at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
