Volleyball Recap: Valdosta Takes a Loss

Valdosta lost against Thomas County Central back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Yellow Jackets by a score of 2-1. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Yellow Jackets 25-15 in the first set.

Valdosta started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-14, 15-11.

Valdosta's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Thomas County Central, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Valdosta will face off against Valwood at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Thomas County Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Lowndes on the 9th.
