Baseball Recap: Millennium Falcons vs. Big Valley Christian Lions
Millennium stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Big Valley Christian Lions with a sharp 10-1 victory. The win was nothing new for Millennium as they're now sitting on three straight.
Landon Vatran made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Vatran has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Vatran was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
In other batting news, Max Delgadillo was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Christian Jacobo, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
