Softball Recap: Rogers Heritage Drops Season-High Score on Siloam Springs

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rogers Heritage). They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Siloam Springs Panthers on Monday. The War Eagles haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Victoria Bone was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

Rogers Heritage was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in five consecutive games.

Rogers Heritage's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-9. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Siloam Springs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rogers Heritage will welcome Rogers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Siloam Springs, they will challenge Greenwood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
