W.S. Neal took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Central, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The W.S. Neal Eagles narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Central Jaguars 10-9. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered an 11-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Precious Howard was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-5. Another player making a difference was Ava Stuckey, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

The win made it two in a row for W.S. Neal and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

W.S. Neal didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-5 defeat against Andalusia on the 21st. As for Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 14-0 victory against Laurel Hill on the 25th.
