Basketball Recap: St. Cloud Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

St. Cloud and Harmony squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but St. Cloud had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Harmony Longhorns by a score of 49-46. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, with their most recent loss being a 40-37 defeat back in January.

When it comes to explaining why St. Cloud lost, don't look at Alex Springs. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 11 to rack up 15 points. Springs is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Julian Fox was another key player, putting up 11 points and eight rebounds.

St. Cloud's defeat dropped their record down to 23-4. As for Harmony, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.
