Basketball Recap: Fordham Prep Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Fordham Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 58-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monsignor Farrell Lions. The contest marked the Rams' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Fordham Prep still got an impressive performance from Brian Kapfer, who posted 20 points and five rebounds. The game was Kapfer's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dylan McElhatton, who earned five points and five rebounds.

Fordham Prep's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-4. As for Monsignor Farrell, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Fordham Prep will take on Wausau West in a tournament on Friday. One thing working in Wausau West's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Monsignor Farrell, they will head out to face off against Salesian at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Salesian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Monsignor Farrell likes a good challenge.
