Soccer Game Preview: Hebron vs. Marcus

The Hebron Hawks will venture away from home to square off against the Marcus Marauders at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hebron's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Coppell. The victory was all the more spectacular given Hebron's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 206th, while Coppell are ranked 22nd).

Meanwhile, Marcus came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Farmers by a score of 2-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Marcus were the better team in the second half.

Ethan Garza and Kaifa Yuoh scored both of Marcus' goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Marcus' win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Hebron, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 4-2-3.

Hebron beat Marcus by a goal in their previous matchup back in February of 2025, winning 2-1. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Marauders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
