John Marshall had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Brooke Bruins with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Monarchs as they're now sitting on three straight.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-9, 25-18.

John Marshall's offense was headlined by Nia Miller and Sarah Naome, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Sarah Hess and her 32 assists. Isla Urbanak controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

John Marshall's win bumped their record up to 23-8-3. As for Brooke, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season.

Brooke didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against North Marion on the 3rd. Hopefully John Marshall paid attention to the Bruins' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bruins at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
