Basketball Game Preview: Paradise Honors Panthers vs. ALA - Queen Creek Patriots

Having just played yesterday, the Paradise Honors Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the ALA - Queen Creek Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Paradise Honors will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.

Paradise Honors can't be too worried about heading out to take on ALA - Queen Creek: they just beat Greenway at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Paradise Honors took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 69-38 victory over Greenway. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 20 contests by 23 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Lizzy Guincho, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. The game was her third in a row with at least 15 points. Morgan Van Dyke was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds.

Paradise Honors smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive matches.

ALA - Queen Creek fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They skirted past Crismon 46-43.

Paradise Honors pushed their record up to 21-4 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points over those games. As for ALA - Queen Creek, their record is now 5-20.

Paradise Honors ended up a good deal behind ALA - Queen Creek when the teams last played back in December of 2019, losing 50-33. Can Paradise Honors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
