Softball Recap: North Comes Up Short

Ridge Spring-Monetta hit North with a 15-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles lost 20-2 to the Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-3 on Tuesday.

North's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. North is set to face off against their familiar foe Hunter-Kinard-Tyler at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Ridge Spring-Monetta will square off against rival Wagener-Salley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
