Tooele has gone a perfect 7-0 against Hillcrest recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Buffaloes will be playing at home against the Huskies at 3:30 p.m. Tooele is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
Tooele's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Jordan 20-0. The victory continues a trend for the Buffaloes in their matchups with the Beetdiggers: they've now won four in a row.
Kenni Molgard looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Tooele let Hunter Culley and Paizlee Wall run wild. Culley went a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs, while Wall went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave Wall a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Nelson, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Tooele was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .704. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Hillcrest waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Lancers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Abigail Hitchcock spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Bailey Terry and Skylynn Salazar Bell did most of the damage at the plate: Terry scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Salazar Bell went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Adrie Sullivan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Tooele's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Hillcrest, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tooele hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like Hillcrest struggles in that department as they've averaged .371. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
